Leave a comment!I had the Aluminum Lock shingles put on my home over 20 years ago. It's a great roof. I haven't had any leaks or repairs. The snow slides off very well in the winter. The installer did a great job.

Our home was built in 1995 near the mouth of Weber Canyon. We sometimes have high winds here depending on the time of year. A year or two after our home was built, we experienced 90+ mph winds that ripped shingles off our roof in several large sections. That sparked a decision to find something better...something that would hold up on the home we had just purchased and planned to stay in for many years. After a lot of research we became convinced that locking aluminum shingles were the solution we were looking for. The decision to buy was based not only on how durable the shingles are, but also because of how beautiful they look.
Since then, I've not regretted our decision. On December 2, 2011 we again had extremely high winds. For several hours there was debris flying everywhere, and much of it was neighbors' shingles that had been torn off their roofs. The winds were strong enough to destroy several sections of our cedar fence (the 4-inch posts are sheared right off at the base) but our roof is PERFECT with no damage anywhere. It still looks as beautiful as the day it was installed.
