Aluminum
Lock and Copper Lock roofing shingles from Aluminum Lock Roofing
Inc. have been manufactured in Salt Lake City, Utah since
1957. Our Aluminum Lock shingles use an interlocking shingle
system that has proven durable and effective throughout four
decades of hot summers and cold, snowy winters. If you take
the time to compare Aluminum Lock with other roofing systems,
you will see why Aluminum Lock shingles are superior.
Considered
a Lifetime roof, many customers have Aluminum Lock
shingles that are over 40 years old, and could last 40 more.
Aluminum
Lock shingles are an ideal material for roofing. Aluminum
Lock shingles are strong, yet very lightweight. Aluminum Lock
shingles won't rot, curl, dry-out, crack, or otherwise deteriorate
with age. Aluminum Lock shingles do not rust. Even if the
finish is scratched, Aluminum won't develop rust streaks.
Weather
that deteriorates other types of roofing has no effect on
Aluminum or Copper Lock shingles.

are your best option.

Asphalt
Composition Shingles are dried out by heat and ultraviolet
sun rays. Asphalt also retains heat, making your attic
and home hot in the summer. Snow and ice buildup can cause
problems as well. Aluminum Lock shingles will always be
a better choice. |
 | Wood Shingles are an extreme fire hazard and deteriorate in water, heat,
and UV.
Aluminum
Lock shingles won't burn like wood or asphalt products. Knowing
your roof is fire-proof will certainly give you peace of mind,
and may save you money on fire insurance.
Aluminum
Lock shingles are interlocking and will not work loose from
expansion and contraction, due to temperature changes. Aluminum
Lock shingles also provide an attractive "shingle" look, with
all the advantages of metal. |

Steel
retains heat. Aluminum does not. A finish must protect steel
or it will rust. Temperature changes cause expansion and contraction,
and loosening in long sheet-metal panels. The Aluminum Lock
system will not work loose from the temperature changes. click here for more steel roofing photos |
Cement
tiles are extremely heavy, deteriorate with age, and suffer
severe damage when walked on and from the weight of snow loads.

Weight
build up is not a concern with Aluminum Lock shingles
because not only are the shingles extremely lightweight, but
the snow slides off as well. This prevents dangerous weight
and ice buildup on eves. Ice buildup is a major cause of leaks
with conventional roofing. The need to risk personal injury
from snow removal is eliminated as well.
Aluminum
Lock shingles weigh less than 40lbs. per 100 sq. ft. Copper
Lock shingles weigh 110 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. Conventional
asphalt shingles weigh 5 to 10 times the weight of Aluminum
Lock shingles! Aluminum Lock shingles are naturally heat reflective.
Aluminum Lock shingles reflect away the sun's heat in the
summer. In the winter, your heat comes from the inside and
is reflected back in. Aluminum Lock shingles will save you
money by making your home more energy efficient. For more

Now that
you have taken the time to compare roofing products you can
see the obvious reasons why Aluminum Lock shingles are superior.
Aluminum
Lock Shingles can be walked on. They are fully supported
by the roof's sheeting, which prevents damage from foot traffic,
or hail. Because the shingles lie directly over tarpaper,
and the plywood sheeting, there is virtually no noise from
rain or hail.
Aluminum
Lock shingles are good for the environment since they are
recyclable. Aluminum Lock shingles are made using over 90%-recycled
aluminum. Even after many decades of protecting your home,
your Aluma-Lock or Copper Lock shingles will have value as
a recyclable material, and will not end up in the garbage
dump or land fill.
Unlike
heavy conventional shingles, Aluminum Lock shingles can be
installed over existing shingles in most cases. This feature
alone may save you thousands of dollars.
Besides
being nailed down, each Aluminum Lock shingle interlocks on
all 4 sides with surrounding shingles. They also lock securely
into flashings around all roof edges. This makes an aluminum
roofing shingle extremely wind proof. All nails are covered
in the locking process. This adds to the roof's clean, beautiful
appearance, and also prevents the nails from working loose.
Copper
Lock Shingles that lock on all 4 sides at very competitive
prices.
Our copper
lock shingles are made from 12 oz. pure copper coil and have
the same 4 side interlock as the Aluminum Shingles. Not only
will you get a very distinguished look to your
home, but our copper lock shingles are functional and practical
as well. Since each shingle is nailed down, as well as interlocked
on all 4 sides, our copper shingles are both more windproof
and waterproof than other brands of copper shingles that only
lock on the top and the bottom.
Our Copper
lock shingles can be walked on! The low profile design prevents
crushing from snow or foot traffic. Copper lock shingles are
a great choice because they are low-maintenance, high quality.
Year after year, you will enjoy an attractive, lifetime roof. Click here for more copper lock shingle photos.
